Principle Speech & Language Therapist
Polly is our Principle Speech and Language Therapist who graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2007 with Chris. Polly is registered with both the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Since qualifying, Polly has worked in a variety of NHS trusts across Kent, London and Surrey, as well as in the private sector, gaining vast experience of working with children with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties. In addition to her clinical work, Polly has held two leadership positions within the NHS and independent sector. From 2012 - 2014, Polly was the Lead Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for children with moderate learning difficulties, and from 2015 - 2018, Polly was the Lead Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist within a specialist school for children with autism and challenging behaviour. Polly has a clinical specialism in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Learning Difficulties, with a clinical interest in ASD and AAC. Polly's post graduate training includes DISCO (The Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders), PECS, Intensive Interaction, Attention Autism, Team Teach behaviour support, SCERTS, Autism Education Trust, Derbyshire Language Scheme and Makaton. In her spare time, Polly is a keen violin player and member of an orchestra. Polly also enjoys keeping fit, and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
