Julia Berry

Julia graduated from UCL with a distinction in MSc Speech and Language Sciences.  

Julia has experience working across a range of specialist educational provisions, supporting young people aged 2-21 years old to be independent communicators. She provides SLT input to private clients at London Speech Therapy in the evenings and at weekends.   

Julia is passionate about early intervention support for autistic children and children with language disorder (including DLD). She values working closely with parents, carers and educators to ensure home and learning environments are accessible and facilitate all forms of communication.   

Julia is trained in Makaton, Gestalt Language Processing, and Shape Coding. She has experience using a range of intervention approaches including Attention Autism, Intensive Interaction, Multisensory Storytelling and AAC.

In her spare time, Julia enjoys hiking in the mountains, exploring London parks and starting yet another crochet project!
