Emily is a Consultant Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, and one of the Managing Directors at London Speech Therapy. She obtained a BSc in Speech Sciences from University College London in 2009, qualifying as a Speech and Language Therapist. Emily worked in the NHS for 3 years post qualifying, in a range of roles across mainstream schools, clinics, a specialist secondary setting, an early years language unit, and Children’s Centres. In February 2013, Emily joined London Speech Therapy and she hasn’t looked back. Emily’s specialist interests are in the areas of Motor Speech Disorders, and Developmental Language Disorder.

She has completed additional training in PROMPT (Introduction and Bridging), The Nuffield Dyspraxia Centre Training, PECS, Solihull, Attention Autism, SCERTS, Palin Parent Child Interaction Therapy, SFBT and Word Aware. She is also a member of the London Speech Disorders CEN.

Alongside her directorship duties, Emily works with some of our private families, in their homes, schools and in our clinics. She also provides frequent intensive therapy blocks to several of our international families who visit from Pakistan, Malta, the US and the Middle East. This had more recently been delivered via Tele-therapy which has been extremely successful.

Emily enjoys cooking for friends, running at her local Parkruns, DIY projects and gardening!
